TCF Prayer Ministry
The prayer ministry is fully committed to seeing TCF as a “house of prayer.” We welcome prayer requests for this is how we get to be a part of the ongoing trials and victories in your lives. On behalf of all who serve in the prayer ministry, we consider it a privilege to be entrusted with your prayer requests.
HOW TO SUBMITT A PRAYER REQUEST:Home > Prayer Ministry > Prayer Ministry
THE PRAYER SLIPS: Every Sunday bulletin has a prayer request slip attached. These can be filled out in time to drop in the offering, or can be handed to an usher and they will be taken to the upper room where a group of intercessors meet each Sunday to pray for these requests. These will be reviewed on the same morning for "emergency" situations, and then compiled on Monday to be distributed for prayer to all the pastors and elders and to the “internet prayer connection”.
THE CHURCH OFFICE: During the week prayer slips can also be generated by sending an email to prayer@trail.org. Those who do not have access to email can call the office during business hours. Phone and email prayer requests are also placed on a group email and immediately sent out to all the pastors and elders and the “internet prayer connection”. You may also request that only the Pastors receive your prayer request. The compiled lists are used only during the week they are submitted.
PRAYER TEAM MEMBERS AND PASTORS are available at the front of the church after each service. They are there to intercede; to seek the presence of God on behalf of others. They are ready and willing to agree with you in prayer for any reason or spiritual need, cry with you, rejoice with you or just come along side to encourage you. For those requesting, the prayer team members will also anoint with oil per James 5:14-15.
HOW THE PRAYER MINISTRY FUNCTIONS:
BODY LIFE PRAYER: In many ways, the prayer request slips are the "heartbeat" of our prayer ministry. On Monday, the compiled list of all prayer requests is sent out via email to those who have requested and been approved to be intercessors on the "internet prayer connection", and a "hardcopy" is placed in every pastors mail box. Important, just in case you were wondering, the first three guidelines for those involved in the prayer ministry are to treat ALL prayer requests as: 1)CONFIDENTIAL, 2) VERY CONFIDENTIAL, and 3) ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL.
PASTORAL PRAYER: The first hour and a half of each staff meeting (Thursday mornings) is spent in prayer. Each pastor brings their copy of the compiled prayer requests, to which one page of TCF phone directory listings has been added. If your name is in the TCF phone directory you will receive a note on the month during which your name will come up asking you to let us know any special things you would like to have prayed for. The pastors and the elders who participate in that meeting take turns praying "around the table" for the prayer requests and for any other needs we are aware of. Also, for those who desire prayer and anointing with oil by the staff and pastors; please call the office to schedule a time.
PRAYER MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:
WORSHIP BASED PRAYER: There is a group gathering in the adult classroom near the front office from 8:30-9:30 each Sunday. This is an open Bible, worship based, time of prayer. A different Psalm is studied each Sunday as to where Jesus is present in the Psalm and as to what can we learn about prayer from that specific Psalm. The hour is divided equally in study and prayer. All are welcome to join.
MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST: Every Friday morning at 6:30, breakfast is served and the men gather for a time of fellowship, teaching and prayer. Pastor Rick shares from the Word and leads the men in Scripture based prayer for the body of Christ and the ministries of TCF.
PRAYER FOR MISSIONARIES: Intercession for TCF supported outreaches—global and local, short term and career—gather the first Monday of each month at a home in Eagle Point. For additional information, call the church office or email Global Outreach.
THE PRAYER CHAIN: The front line for urgent "day and night prayer" requests. The names and phone numbers of key prayer chain leaders are on the first page of the TCF phone directory.
BECOMING A "PRAYER WARRIOR": You may contact Darrel Wiltrout to find out what the expectations for being a member of the prayer team are, how you could be included as an intercessor on the “internet prayer connection” or for information on how to connect with one of the prayer gatherings.
